Built in 1967, the motel was built in the popular International Style with large windows and the clean modern look of mid century contemporary architecture. This first postcard of the motel (looking south) was created for the first marketing efforts made by the motel.
Later, apparently in 1968, a small minature golf course was added to the front of the motel. This view, looking east, shows the playground equipment in the foreground and the golf course running under the sign.
In the 1970's, a guest lounge and a storage garage was added to the west wing. The guest lounge was eventually converted into a laundry area only, and was closed to guests probably in the early 1990's. Currently, the guest lounge is being restored as was originally intended by the architects.
